ANNOUNCEMENT OF SAMSON'S BIRTH TO MANOAH
Text: Judges 13:8-18
The angel of the LORD answered, "Your wife must do all that I have told her: Judges 13:13
In response to Manoah's prayer to God on how to raise his son, Samson, the angel of God came a second time to Manoah and his wife. God sent the angel again to confirm the instructions given to the woman. It is interesting to know that God repeated the instructions earlier given to the woman. This shows that God does not joke with His words. He freely give His counsel to those who humbly and sincerely seek to know His will. Psalm 25:9 says, "The humble He guides in justice, and the humble He teaches His ways."
God's instructions give divine direction if strictly adhered to. Unfortunately, many people neglect God's instructions, seeking human wisdom to attend to their situations. God desires your fellowship with Him and would welcome your request for confirmation of His instructions if you humbly approach His throne of grace. Start today with a desire to know His will and a commitment to do it. Expect great thongs to come as you walk with the Lord in obedience.
Wisdom: The wise rely on every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.
Food for Thought: Do you seek God's will with delight?
Follow-up Action: Share with someone today about knowing and doing the will of God.
Prayer: Lord, help me to obey Your will at all times.

Judges 13:8-18
ANNOUNCEMENT OF SAMSON’S BIRTH TO MANOAH
"She may not eat anything that comes from the vine, nor may she drink wine or similar drink, nor eat anything unclean. All that I commanded her let her observe. Judges 13:14, NKJV
It is God’s pattern, on many occasions, to announce great men before they are born. Samson was a star that would shine in his generation and he could not have come without God releasing certain information about him. God would not want him to fail and the way to help him was to let his waiting parents know what must dictate his life. He must be a Nazirite, who must not eat or drink anything unclean and must totally separate himself to the Lord.
You are also special. You are a child of destiny. It does not matter the story surrounding your birth. The truth is that before you were born, God knew you and has designed you for a specific purpose. All you need to fulfil destiny is to consecrate and dedicate yourself to the Lord and never allow sin to ruin your destiny. You are created to be a shining star for your generation. Go and shine!
• Birthday Blessings: "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations" Jeremiah 1:5

ANGEL ACCEPT MANOAH'S SACRIFICE
Text: Judges 13:19-23
And the flame blazed up from the altar toward heaven, the angel of the LORD ascended in the flame. Seeing this, Manoah and his wife fell with their faced to the ground. Judges 13:20,NIV
On the angel's second visit, Manoah prepared a burnt offering unto the Lord and laid it on a rock. In acceptance of the offering, the Lord sent flame to consume it and the angel of the Lord ascended to heaven in the flame. Once he was gone, Manoah realized it was an angel of the Lord. This incident gave Manoah and his wife the understanding of their guest was and confirmed Manoah's sacrifice was accepted by God.
For your sacrifice of service to be acceptable before God, you must worship Him in spirit and truth. Christian must totally surrender themselves to God as a living sacrifice that is holy and acceptable to Him. Reflecting on your fellowship with God daily will help you to remain in His presence. Manoah's reflection was negative, his wife was positive. He thought they would die, but to his wife, she saw the accepted sacrifice as confirmation of choosing them to raise Samson. Jeremiah 29:11 says that God's thought towards us is not to harm us, but to give us hope and a future. Daily reflect on God's word and surrender yourself totally to Him. By this, your sacrifice and worship will be acceptable to Him.
Wisdom: Worshiping God makes one wiser.
Food for Thought: Is your life an acceptable sacrifice to God?
Follow-up Action: God's instructions are for your good; follow them.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, help me by your Holy Spirit to always offer acceptable sacrifice to you.

ANGEL ACCEPTS MANOAH’S SACRIFICE
It happened as the flame went up toward heaven from the altar - the Angel of the LORD ascended in the flame of the altar! When Manoah and his wife saw this, they fell on their faces to the ground. Judges 13:20
Appreciation warms the heart of God towards a person. Manoah’s first response to the announcement of the angel concerning Samson was appreciation and celebration. Nothing was as exciting as seeing the heaven connect with the earth in this process – the angel ascending in the flame of sacrifice. Even when Manoah, out of his ignorance, thought this was death, his wife told him it was life. She felt God would not assure them of a glorious future or join them in their celebration, if His thought was to terminate their lives (22-23).
When God speaks to you or unveils His plans for your life, your attitude should be that of gratitude. Appreciate Him and celebrate the glorious future He has for you. Your continuous sacrifice of praise and the consecration of your life at the altar of dedication to God and His work are ways to perpetually seal God’s covenant for you. Daily, you will see His purposes manifest and you will fulfil your destiny. Even when death threatens, you can say, “I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD” (Psalm 118:7).
• Birthday Blessing: For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11.
